Privacy at The Owner Shift.

The short version

We collect the information you give us when you use this site (your name, your email, what you tell us in a form). We use it to send you the Fultz Factor, follow up on a discovery call, deliver a tool you took, or run your cohort enrollment. We do not sell your data. We do not rent your list. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing steveandmelissa@thefultzgroup.com.

What we collect

We collect information you give us, plus a small amount of standard technical information that any website collects to run.

  • What you give us. Your name, email, spouse's name and email if you share it, business description, role, qualifier responses, and anything else you type into a form.
  • If you take the AI Readiness Check. Your answers, your score, the band you fall into, and your contact info.
  • If you enroll or pay. Payment information is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We see the order, the email, and the amount.
  • If you book a discovery call. Your selection and contact info, handled by Calendly.
  • Standard site information. IP address, browser type, page views, referrer. Captured by our hosting provider (Netlify) for security and basic analytics. No cross-site tracking.

How we use it

For the things you signed up for, and a small handful of related things you would expect from a real business.

  • Send you the Fultz Factor newsletter (Substack handles email delivery and unsubscribes).
  • Email you the result of a tool you took.
  • Schedule a discovery call you requested.
  • Run your enrollment, communications, and onboarding for the Obsolete By Design cohort.
  • Improve the site, the tools, and the cohort based on what we learn from how people actually use them.

We do not run ads. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not run cross-site retargeting.

Who else touches your data

A short list of the third parties we use to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy. We use them only for what they do well.

  • Netlify hosts the site and captures form submissions.
  • Substack handles the Fultz Factor newsletter.
  • Stripe handles payments for the cohort and any other paid items.
  • Calendly handles scheduling for discovery calls.
  • Replit hosts the free assessments at tools.theownershift.com.
  • Google Workspace handles our email (steveandmelissa@thefultzgroup.com).
  • If we add a CRM (GoHighLevel) in the future, this list gets updated.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses a small number of essential cookies to make pages work properly (session state, form submissions). If we ever add analytics, we will use a privacy-respecting tool (currently Plausible is wired in stub mode and not active). No Facebook pixel. No Google Analytics. No retargeting tags.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • See what information we have about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information from our systems (Substack, Stripe, Calendly each have their own deletion flows; we will help you navigate them).
  • Unsubscribe from the Fultz Factor at any time (one click in any email).

Email steveandmelissa@thefultzgroup.com with any request. A real person will read it and reply.

Children

This site is for business owners and their spouses. It is not directed at anyone under 18. If we learn we collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change anything material, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for substantial changes, send a note in the Fultz Factor.
